About Us
The Mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. That's a daily process — learning, growing, changing as the Holy Spirit leads.
Who We Are
The Mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. That's a daily process — learning, growing, changing as the Holy Spirit leads.
Our Story
One of our founders was John Wesley, an English evangelist (1703–1791). He encouraged people to "think and let think," inviting us to put our hands together in serving Christ, even though we may not have a meeting of the minds.
We find common ground in the essentials of our Christian beliefs: God is our Creator; Jesus is our Savior; the Holy Spirit is our Strength. And yet we may each have differences in our relationship with the Holy Trinity.
United Methodists live the promises we made when we joined the United Methodist Church by offering our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.

What We Stand On
01
God
We believe in God, who created all that is — and keeps on creating. We see no conflict between God's power to create through the laws of nature and the Bible's description in the Book of Genesis. We can agree THAT God creates without arguing about the HOW.
02
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, who somehow saves us. We may have different views on what we are saved to or how that saving happens. We believe Jesus was God's love in the flesh, fully human and fully divine. God raised Jesus from the dead, and the risen Christ lives today. His resurrection gives us forgiveness of sin, new life here on earth, and eternal life after we die.
03
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who comforts us when we are in need and challenges us when we stray from God. Through the Holy Spirit, the church becomes the Body of Christ, doing his work in the world. We are the hands and feet, the eyes and ears of Jesus.
04
Humanity
People are free to accept or reject a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We believe a relationship with Christ is essential to living a life of purpose and meaning. United Methodists live the promises we made when we joined the United Methodist Church by offering our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.
